When I joined the Virgin Megastores online team they were going through a major website redesign. I helped out with the production of graphics in line with the new brand guidelines and designed and created pages using the CMS.
Specifically, my role involved looking after the rich and user generated content, as well as creating and driving content to the competition, event, interview and review pages. Due to the numerous events that occurred in stores (predominantly in the flagship store in Oxford Street where I had previously worked), I often interviewed musicians or reviewed appearances and published those on the site. When I worked in the store I was the editor of a staff newsletter/fanzine and it was great to be able to translate this to the digital world further down my career.
